This last week we had our vacation, and as we have done previous Octobers we spent the time on our boat. Half way through the week, Jenna went to stay with Kate for three days and Victoria stayed with us. We always appreciate our girls hanging out with their big sister as she is such an incredible influence on them, and they really enjoy their nieces. The girls are at a great age!
On Thursday they had the great Schooner race from the Bay bridge to Norfolk and we ventured out to watch the start. In the picture you can see the Schooner "Pride of Baltimore" race by us. (We were not in the race...just wished we were).
On the way back to our anchorage Victoria took a picture of Terry and me by the Thomas Point light house. Thomas Point LH is what they call a "Screwpile" LH and we usually stop by and take pictures of our guests in front of it, but never had our own taken. 
It was nice having just one of the girls for a period of time, and Victoria caught a LOT of fish. We would go out in the mornings and evenings for an hour or so and I would mostly spend the time taking fish off of her lure. The weather was indian summer wonderful.

For those of you wondering about the girl's riddle - the "bicycles" are playing cards, and there should only be 52, not 53.

Hopefully not an incredibly cranky influence. We loved having Jenna! Both girls are such good sports when they come. I know hanging out with a bunch of munchkins is not always the most exciting or fun. I owe Jenna an ice cream, and Victoria a turn next!
Oh, how I wish we could have come out for the annual October vacation. I miss those cruises so much. It looks like you all had a great time without us though and I am really glad about that!! Would you let us know about the dates for the beach or get ahold of the girls and tell them so they can schedule the time off? Can't wait to see you next week, let me know if you want me to pick you up at the airport! Sure wish Terry and the girls (and Andrew) could come along too!
We were wishing the whole time you and John were with us on the cruise. Maybe next year! The weather was really nice, like summer the first few days and cool and nice the 2nd half.
Victoria caught 6 fish one day!!
